Vintage Lattice and Sashiko Quilt Block Quilted Project Bag

$80.00 $100.00

This repurposed Quilt Block Project Bag is a nice, tall bag, able to hold a big knitting project, or your wine bottle and snacks to bring over to your friend's house (see measurements below). Also, it's perfect for books, and sheet music, as you can see! I can never resist a Lattice Quilt. I don't know, it's just something about the large X's that get me. X's and Circles are my thing. Anyway, I bought a Vintage Lattice Quilt top that was unfinished and just waiting to be turned into a useful quilt.... or something, which turns out to be this beautiful bag. It's sturdy, has a wonderful texture, and there's lots of room inside for your stuff.

It's different on each side and there's a really pretty bonus vintage quilt block pocket inside which is lined so it's smooth! I used my Baby Lock Sashiko sewing machine to create to Sashiko stitching on the quilt panels, the bottom and the handles.

The inside and bottom and handles and pocket are lined and made with a Linen fabric , and the batting is Quilter's Dream Deluxe Weight Cotton Batting.

Measurements:
14.75 inches high, 17 inches to top of handle
13.5 inches wide
3 inches wide on the bottom, which you can see in the photos
The pocket is 9.5 inches square

Wash in a lingerie bag on cold. Don't go too mental washing it as the blocks are super vintage and while they are pretty stable I wouldn't go bananas and wash it all the time. Wash with a nice organic laundry soap (don't use Tide or any of that stuff) and do not dry clean. Let it air dry.

NOTE: The shirting and indigo fabrics in the blocks are vintage and there is some faint staining to be found.
