Bow Tie Vintage Quilt, Vintage Rescue Quilt, Throw Size Handmade Vintage Quilt

Soft as butter Vintage Bow Tie Quilt! Look at that crinkle, will you!!
I couldn't resist this quilt top when I laid eyes on it and I'm glad I didn't.
It crinkled so beautifully after I quilted it up and washed it.

This is a vintage as-is Quilt. When I acquired the unfinished top it was in surprisingly great condition, very stable fabrics with no crazing or seam repair needed, and only a few minor age spots, the worst of which I've included a photo of.

It's backed with a pretty light denim blue batik with a snappy batik binding with tiny gold specs. It's soft and crinkly with a soft cotton batting from Quilters Dream to add to the vintage heirloom look.

❀ It has already been washed and dried using unscented organic laundry soap.
❀ 100% cotton fabrics and a small assortment of blends.

STORY OF VINTAGE RESCUE QUILTS
Following my love of Vintage Quilts and Quilt History, I find and source unfinished vintage quilt tops from various places. I then make any repairs needed to the quilt top, including mending loose seams, replacing disintegrated fabrics, and attending to stains that may be treated. I then pair the quilt with a modern fabric backing and batting and quilt it using my longarm quilting machine. I use no computers on my longarm and everything is done manually by hand. In the end, these unfinished quilts from long ago are transformed into quilts that are totally amazing, stunning, and, well, beautiful! Sometimes I'm so struck by a quilt's transformation! It is an honor to bring these beauties into the future and finally give them the ability to be used and loved!



QUILT CARE

❀ wash cold, gentle cycle, mild soap and dry in a normal drier on low to medium or lay flat or hang to dry. Do not hang in direct sunlight to dry.
