Every time I look at this quilt I think Harry Potter (just saying)... but anyway, it was initially an experiment. I've heard that high contrast black and white objects are really great for developing babies eyes, so here's a version of my Dark Heart Quilt, but with some added white triangles in the mix in the shape of a lightning zigzag. A friend asked me to make her a version of this for her baby and in the process I made several for her to look at. It's true that the graphic contrast is easy to process with the naked eye, but working with a camera isn't as easy as the eye. I know it's hard to read those white triangles, but they are all low volume white prints with fun little details to discover... even a tiny dog face!
This quilt can also be used as a wall hanging, a meditation blanket, or as an accent at the end of your bed. If you want to hang it on the wall, just ask and I'll add a rod pocket for hanging!
All of my quilts are handmade, by me, one at a time. Each one is quilted by eye without any computer assistance, making every one of them a unique piece of art.
